Getting to Green Lake
Transportation Request Form
Traveling to Green Lake by plane, train or bus?
Need transportation from your arrival point to Green
Lake? Make your transportation reservations with
Guest Services when you register for your
conference and housing. If not done at that time,
transportation reservations must be made at least
seven days in advance of your arrival date. Without
reservations, you will likely be subject to delays
in your transportation to Green Lake.
PLANE
Those flying to Wisconsin should make arrangements
to arrive in Appleton at Outagamie County Airport.
We can provide ground transportation (a one hour
drive) to and from this airport for $27 per person
one way. We do not offer transportation from the
Milwaukee, Madison or Green Bay airports. Where
possible, choosing flights that do not go through
Chicago may help to minimize delays.
TRAIN
Amtrak offers service from both east and west,
stopping in Columbus, WI. We can provide
transportation from the train station, (a one hour
drive), for $27 per person one way.
BUS
Greyhound serves a depot in Oshkosh. Transportation
to Green Lake from the Oshkosh bus depot (45
minutes) is $27 per person one way.
AUTO
Those who want to drive to Green Lake from
Milwaukee's Mitchell Field (90 miles) or Chicago's
O'Hare airport (180 miles) or Appleton's Outagamie
County Airport (50 miles) can reserve rental cars.
Helpful Travel Tips
- Green Lake Conference Center provides ground
transportation from Columbus (WI), Appleton and
Oshkosh. Green Lake’s ground transportation is
not available from Green Bay, Madison or
Milwaukee. Reservations for transportation must
be made with
Guest Services at least seven days before
your arrival date. Adequate transportation
service cannot be assured with less notice.
- When making reservations with Green Lake, be
sure to include arrival times for plane, train
or bus so your transportation to Green Lake can
be scheduled. If your travel plans change prior
to your departure, notify the Conference Center
immediately by calling
Guest Services at (920) 294-3323. If you
experience delays or changes in your plans while
en route please contact the Conference Center as
soon as possible by calling (920) 294-3323.
- We suggest you schedule your arrival time no
later than 10:00 p.m. and your departure time no
earlier than 9:00 a.m. We make this suggestion
because an earlier departure necessitates a
departure from Green Lake prior to 5:00 a.m. An
arrival to the airport, bus station or train
station after 10:00 p.m. means (after luggage is
received) you will arrive at Green Lake after
11:30 p.m. or later.
- Upon your arrival at the Appleton airport,
look for our driver waiting for you either at
the baggage claim area or outside with a Green
Lake Conference Center vehicle.
- When traveling by plane, train or bus,
occasionally checked baggage is delayed.
Consider carrying “on board” toilet articles,
night wear, medicine and a clothing change.
