Let us help you bring your vision to life with flexible spaces, lodging, and support tailored to your group’s needs.
In a world full of distractions, it can be hard to set aside dedicated time with the Lord. Often our responsibilities pull us away from prayer, Bible reading, and worship. Thankfully, Green Lake Conference Center is a place that brings you peace the moment you enter the front gates. With this opportunity to slow down, here’s where you can go to reflect, pray, and reconnect with God.
Memory Lane
Memory Lane is a lakeside walkway that features benches, arbors, and stones covered in plaques that honor those who have made a positive impact on Green Lake Conference Center, churches, individuals’ walks with God, and more. Walk through the winding path to see the history that this place holds. Sit under the arbors with your Bible to read God’s Word while looking out onto the beautiful Green Lake, hearing birds chirp overhead, and feeling the warm sunshine on your skin. Here, you are bound to feel at peace.
Spurgeon Chapel
Spurgeon Chapel was originally a root cellar built by the Lawsons in 1904. Since then, it has been transformed into a quaint, quiet spot, perfect for meditation and prayer. Notice the stained glass windows as you enter. Feel your worries and stress taken away as you walk through the door, and take a seat on one of the benches at the foot of the cross to be reminded how holy God truly is. This secluded spot is just waiting for you to come and dwell in His presence.
Lone Tree Point
Lone Tree Point is where it all started. This is the spot Jessie Lawson first visited when she discovered the Green Lake Conference Center grounds back in 1888. It’s no wonder why Jessie fell in love with the property after landing here, Lone Tree Point is a gorgeous, green peninsula surrounded by the waves of Green Lake crashing on the shoreline. Wander down here next time you need a place to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Sit on one of the benches or even the concrete wall and enjoy the tranquility you experience.
Though Green Lake Conference Center is filled with countless spots to reflect, pray, and reconnect with God, Memory Lane, Spurgeon Chapel, and Lone Tree Point will always be some of our favorites. So next time you’re staying at Green Lake Conference Center, be sure to set aside some time with the Lord and visit one of these peaceful locations for a closer walk with God.
