You Can Make a Difference

Since our first season in 1944, this is a place where people have come to experience a closer walk with God.

Our volunteers are inspired by great Christian leaders including Martin Luther King Jr., Leighton Ford, and Philip Yancey. One of the many ways you can participate in God’s ministry at Green Lake Conference Center is by volunteering or bringing a workgroup.

Skills, interests, and experience in specific areas of need are helpful, as well as good physical health and stamina to carry out tasks. Most volunteers serve at least four weeks; many serve three or more months. Modest housing is provided as well as an outstanding work environment and community with over 75 other engaging volunteers who love to plan fun outings and activities!

Our Volunteers Play

It’s not all work. On Monday evenings volunteers eat dinner together and hear about events and groups on grounds that week, upcoming volunteer trips, and social events (movie nights, potluck socials, Bible studies, etc.).

Volunteers also have the opportunity to attend some of the sessions at various conferences for free. The Conference for Church Musicians week, with free concerts each evening, is a favorite!

Other benefits include discounts at Worldwide Gifts, Country Store, Troster Art Studios, free or reduced-rate recreational opportunities, and the joy of working in one of God’s most beautiful places! Our volunteers are a close-knit community that cares for and about one another.

A private lounge area is reserved exclusively for volunteer staff. Amenities include a large flat-screen TV with cable, a computer with Internet access, Wi-Fi access, a kitchenette, comfortable couches and chairs, and tables for writing or playing games.
