Some of my best summer jobs were working at the conference center. Great experience - Summer of 1964. My dad was director of student staff in '64 - it was great to be a kid and at Green Lake for the whole summer. I was lucky in that I got to be there the summer I was 8 and the summer I was 14. My wife and I met while on the staff during the glorious summer of 1971. Brenda is from Vincennes, IN. and I’m from Liverpool, England. The ABA, as it was known then, provided a joyful summer for students from all over the world. People we met during that summer remain lifelong friends—including another married couple who first met there in 1971. The GLCC remains our favourite place on earth. Well done GLCC! I'm a local, but have great memories of working with residential staff while in high school. Loved working on the student staff during the summer of '68. Our son worked there which opened many opportunities in ministry. Great opportunity for young people wanting to work in a Christian environment. The best summers of my college years! I will never forget my summer serving on the student staff! That can be dangerous. In the summer of 1966 seven couples met and got married. |
